A sample programme of how Sardinian Homes could help you to live the dream of owning a property in Sardinia might be:

  • Use "Contact us" to make an enquiry about any aspect of buying land/property in Sardinia, or living there
  • We get back to you with responses to your queries
  • OR use "Contact us" to give an indication of your provisional requirements
  • We get back to you with details of land/properties matching your specifications
  • You "Contact us" with any follow-up queries and we respond
  • Following this you may wish to talk directly by phone or by meeting in England or Sardinia
  • We discuss the possibility and details of arranging a site visit in Sardinia to view land/properties - this can be accompanied or independent, as you wish
  • Dates/times are agreed and you make travel, accommodation and car hire arrangements (these can be entirely independent or we can assist)

    Up to now you pay nothing and there is no commitment

  • Meet with local Estate Agents and view as many properties as you wish from an agreed selection. We can arrange for English staff to accompany you to help with translation. During your visit you may wish to change your specifications - no problem! Visit as many as you want. This stage can be as long or repeated as many times as needed. The idea is for you to find the property of YOUR dreams
  • Divide your visit time between property hunting and discovering Sardinia
  • Meet with Sardinian "geometra," financial consultants & builders etc., if necessary
  • Make your choice and put in an offer. Negotiate until an acceptable deal is agreed

    Up to now you have only paid for travel, accommodation, food, car hire etc. and a £100 deposit. Little more than a short holiday break, and you have begun to discover Sardinia.

  • Once an offer has been made and accepted you will then need to pay a deposit to reserve the property and start the legal buying process. (Please refer to the page giving details of the Legal processes involved in buying an Italian property)

    Then:

    • "Prenotazione" stage 

    Refundable deposit of about 10%

    • "Compromesso" stage  

    Non-refundable deposit of about 20%

    • "Rogito" stage             

    Full & final payment
