Sardinia's climate is determined by its central Mediterranean location. Hot and dry in the long summer with an average temperature of about 25C, wetter, cooler and less predictable in winter with an average winter temperature of about 10C.

Extremes in any season are unusual and most of the rainfall occurs between Autumn and Spring in the hilly interior. If you fly into Sardinia during daylight hours you will be able to appreciate the wide range of landscapes and terrain the island offers. You will probably be struck by how "green" Sardinia appears and how much land is undeveloped.
